Your body is often wiser than your mind. You feel what is good for you, but you do not always act on it. Sometimes you are not even aware of your own limits.

Feeling what you think and knowing what you feel. This important connection is not self-evident in our busy daily lives. With haptonomy we bring this connection back.

The human being as a whole of thinking, feeling and acting, that is the essence of haptonomy. Body and mind influence each other. Yet we often focus mainly on ratio and feeling gets little space.

This disrupts the balance between feeling, thinking and acting . You get stuck, experience that you are on your own or notice that you are becoming increasingly alienated from yourself and your wishes.

The haptotherapist focuses on developing your ability to feel. This is done through conversations, experiential exercises and physical touch. Touch is the most direct form of communication. In this way, you discover together with the haptotherapist what your pattern is and what you experience in your body when this pattern gets stuck.
