Family constellations detailed explanation

Are you struggling with something in your life and finding it difficult to change? Then a family constellation can be a powerful tool. Patterns are passed on from generation to generation in your family. This has an effect on your behavior in the present. During a constellation you gain insight into your place within the family system and discover how these patterns continue to work in your life.

A family constellation is a dynamic coaching form in which others act as representatives for members of your family system. Your actual family is not present. The representatives do not know your situation, but are given phenomenological access to unconscious dynamics within your system. This provides a clear picture of what is happening on a deeper level and can initiate healing movements.

Everyone within a system has their own position. That place is never chosen at random and often (unconsciously). During a constellation, the core is reached in a safe way. This allows you to experience structural behavioral change after just one constellation. Representatives also often gain valuable insights into their own patterns.

A constellation can be seen as a spatial, living representation of a system (such as a family, team or organization). This creates a 5D representation in which what is happening at soul level becomes visible. The facilitator helps to make healing movements and supports you in pronouncing certain sentences to deepen the constellation.

How does it work?

In a setup there are:

• A question submitter (you, with a coaching question)
• Representatives (participants taking on different roles)
• A facilitator who directs the process

The facilitator intuitively chooses representatives from the group. These representatives symbolize family members, emotions, feelings or patterns that are related to your coaching question. As soon as they position themselves in the space (the "knowing field"), they experience thoughts and emotions that are connected to their role.

The reactions and movements of the representatives show crystal clear which dynamics are at play in your system. This offers deep insight into unconscious forces and how they influence your life.

At the request of the facilitator, the representatives share what they experience and how they relate to others. This makes hidden patterns and relationships within the system visible.

Submit your question

You do not have to formulate or submit your coaching question in advance. Even if you do not have a clear question, you can participate. The most important thing is that you are running into something or are stuck in a pattern.

During the workshop you can talk to the facilitator to further clarify your question. The facilitator then tunes in and determines what will be set up in the constellation.

It can also happen that you gain insights during the day through the constellations of others. Sometimes the need for your own constellation disappears because your question has already been answered indirectly. It can also be that a new question arises.

What does a setup yield?

A constellation provides insight into the dynamics and relationships within your system. This will:

The insights from the constellation can help you experience more flexibility in your behavior and interactions. This can lead to profound transformations on both a personal and professional level.

Confidentiality

Everything that happens during the meeting will remain confidential. You may of course talk about your own experience, but not about others.

You can't do it wrong

As a representative you can do no wrong. The trick is to trust your inner movement.

Not everything has to be immediately clear

A constellation works on a deep level. Sometimes you recognize what is happening immediately, but it can also take time for the insights to fully land.

Duration of a setup

The duration of a set-up varies. Some set-ups only last a few minutes, while others can last longer. The impact is not determined by the length of the set-up, but by the essence of what becomes visible.

Practical information

Preparation

It can be valuable to gather factual information about your family system in advance. Think about:

• Excluded family members
• Relatives who died young and the cause
• War history or trauma in the family
• Special events such as miscarriages or illnesses

This helps to map your system better. You do not need to share this information with us in advance; it is only for preparation.

Cancel

Up to two weeks before the meeting you can cancel and receive your registration fee back, minus €27.50 administration fee . For cancellations within two weeks we will charge the full fee, unless someone else takes your place.
